The global environment issue has never been more prominent. We should change. Textile waste should be recycled instead of throwing away as rubbish. Not to mention, textile recycle has profit.
Faster and faster people buy clothes and throw them away. There is no more land to plant cotton, no enough cotton to make clothes for growing population. Over 1 million tons of textiles are thrown away every year mostly from domestic sources, of which only 25% are recycled. At the same time, estimates for arising of textile waste vary between 550,000 - 900,000 tons each year. That could fill and large football stadium.
Recycling textiles can save up to 15 times the energy recoverable by incineration. It can save 12% of landfill sites. It also creates long lasting profit. So why not to recycle textile?
